I stay in a single dorm room in college, and each room has a smoke alarm and a sprinkler. I would like to light a scented candle (in a glass jar) to spice up the room abit, will it trigger the smoke alarm/sprinkler? It would **** if it does and the ensuing sprinklers soak my electronics.
The two ideal places I could place the candle happen to be below the smoke alarm and sprinkler. I can endeavor to move it elsewhere though if that is too dangerous.
Please advise, thank you!

Not unless they catch something on fire.
A candle will not trigger the system. Just make certain that the candle isn’t too large and blow it out whenever you aren’t in your dorm room.
My daughter has a smelly candle in her dorm room and so far, so good!
I would be more afraid of setting a dorm on fire! Most dorms and hotels have rules about candles for good reason. Why don’t you purchase one of those candle warmers (about 7 bucks). It will scent the room and save your candle. Buy a couple of strong jar candles that will last a long time (Yankee’s are great). Good luck
Just get a scented plug in,safe and effective.
