What Scented Candles Actually Work?

FavoriteLoadingAdd to favorites

I’d like to use scented candles to make my room smell nice, but none actually work…any suggestions on brands/ scents that you can smell in the room and not just if you sniff the candle?

I find other things work better but I do have a couple of candles that really put out the scent but I think you nailed it. It’s the candle. . .lit or not. . .that smells so good. I’ve found that potpourri works the best and you can add additional oil as needed. The other thing that worked well was a metal ring that you sat on top of your light bulb filled with scented oil and so when you turned on the light bulb the oil warmed. I guess I was a little rough though and when I turned the light off, it knocked the ring off the bulb.

I have a “clean linen” scent in my bedroom/bathroom. That smells up my whole apartment. You just have to find a scent that is strong enough for you. I just ordered some of these tho after I went to a Open House party. Its worth checking out if you are interesting.. It a “flame less candle” you put the scent block into the bowl and it heats the wax stuff and smells up your whole house. Good if you have kids of pets cuz there is no flame.

Yes I’m an online retailer of soy candles but I do burn alot of what I carry in my home. My wife and I love the ‘Birthday Cake’ scented soy candle I sell. The candle is triple scented and will fill any room with the smell of freshly baked birthday cake. The upside is we can enjoy birthday cake any day of the year and skip the calories!

You want to give our brand, Busy Bee Candles a try. Our Baby Powder large candle fills the whole house with fragrance not just one room! Look out for fragrance strength ratings above 5/10 for maximum scent throw.

We are UK based but can ship anywhere.

I’ve had the most success with Yankee Candles.

Most cheap scented candles are not worth the price paid.

Have you heard of Scentsy!?! They are the best. I found out about them a while back and have been addicted ever since. They are lit with a 25 watt bulb and you just drop a couple cubes of scented wax in the top. That way you can leave it on 24-7 and come home to a nice smelling home. They are so strong! I am warming Home Sweet Home right now and I can smell it upstairs even! Love it! Check them out! You will not be disappointed!

I love scented candles, too. Have you tried Mia Bella?

They are my favorite brand – they are really fragrant and the scent lasts all the way to the end of the candle. Some of the scents are stronger than others since some people prefer a more subtle scent.

Which scents you might want to try would (of course) depend on what type of scent you like. Here are some suggestions: Fresh Laundry if you want a fresh laundry smell, Sweet Orange & Chili Pepper, Cucumber Melon or Coconut Mango if you like fruity scents, or if you want something that smells like bakery scents, try Pumpkin Cheesecake, Hot Apple Pie, Cinnamon Raisin Bun or Key Lime Pie.
