People use older style candles for many different reasons. It might be that they had them already and just didn’t want to buy newer ones or that they were trying to get by cheaper by buying them. These kinds of candles are more apt to start a fire in the home than the newer ones of today. Because the newer ones are in bigger jars that the candle sits in whereas the older ones are just a stick of wax that can easily be tipped over or they could fall over all by themselves.

As candles are already a fire burning if it were to fall over, the fire is already going. With all of the hot wax that is around this candle, the fire will travel on this wax causing the fire to spread faster. It is always wise not to set any candle in or on a window seal and always make sure that the fire is out before going to bed and definitely before you go to sleep. The one room in your home that you don’t want to put a candle in is the kid’s rooms, as they aren’t careful around much of anything.

As most of our children are the worst at keeping their rooms cluttered or even clean for that matter, it just isn’t a wise idea to leave this candle in their room unless you don’t plan to burn the candle in the first place. If you plan on doing this with the candle, you might want to cut the wick right down to the top of this candle so that it can’t be lit at all and therefore use the candle for its scent. You can buy so many different candles that have all different scents that you might want to never light this candle as some times the candle scent will be prettier until you try to burn it, making the candle’s scent downright stink.

Most of us love to buy a candle for its scent alone. We love to go into a candle shop and smell all the different candles that are there to buy. If you smoke, you need to make sure that you aren’t smoking near this candle or run the risk of starting a fire by dropping a spark to this wick, as this could start the place to really burn, causing all in the area starting on fire also.
